Safari & Booking

How do I book a safari?
Choose a tour and contact us, or use the Plan Your Safari form. We will confirm availability, tailor the itinerary and guide you through the next steps.
Can I customize a package?
Yes. We can adjust destinations, travel dates, accommodation level, activities and safari length around your interests and budget.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as practical, especially for peak seasons and popular lodges. Shorter trips can often be arranged with less notice, subject to availability.
Are the published prices per person?
Our listed safari prices are generally shown per person sharing unless a tour page says otherwise. We will confirm the final quotation before booking.

Kenya Safari

What is the best time for a Kenya safari?
Kenya is a year-round destination. Dry periods are popular for wildlife viewing, while green seasons offer lush scenery, fewer crowds and attractive value.
Which destinations do you cover?
We arrange journeys across Kenya including Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Tsavo, Samburu, Lake Nakuru, Ol Pejeta, Nairobi National Park, Mount Kenya, the Rift Valley and the Kenyan Coast.
Can I combine safari and beach?
Absolutely. Popular combinations include a Kenya safari followed by Diani, Watamu, Malindi, Mombasa or Lamu.
What wildlife might I see?
Wildlife varies by destination and season, but Kenya offers opportunities to see lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, rhino, cheetahs, hippos and many bird species.

Travel, Visa & Documentation

Do I need a visa for Kenya?
Kenya uses an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) system for eligible visitors. Requirements and exemptions depend on nationality and circumstances. Apply for your Kenya eTA directly on the official Government of Kenya website →
We recommend applying only through the official eTA platform and checking your eligibility before travel.
What do I need before applying for the Kenya eTA?
You should generally have a valid passport with at least six months validity and a blank page, a passport-type photo or selfie, contact details, arrival and departure information, accommodation details and an accepted payment method. Additional documents may apply depending on your travel purpose.
How long does Kenya eTA processing take?
The official Kenya eTA guidance states that processing is typically around three working days, although it can take longer in some cases. Apply well before your journey and travel only after approval.
Do you provide visa and documentation assistance?
Yes. Elkendi can help you understand the documentation needed for your journey and guide you through the application process. The final decision on entry authorization is made by the relevant Kenyan authorities.
Do you offer travel insurance?
Yes. We can help you arrange travel insurance appropriate to your trip. Options can include single-trip travel medical cover, trip cancellation/interruption, baggage and personal belongings, and comprehensive travel cover. Availability, limits, exclusions and premiums depend on the insurer and traveller. Contact Elkendi for an insurance quotation →
What insurance should I consider for a Kenya safari?
For a safari, we recommend considering cover for emergency medical treatment and evacuation, trip cancellation or interruption, baggage, personal liability and activities included in your itinerary. Always review the policy wording, exclusions and adventure-activity requirements before purchase.
Do you arrange international travel?
Yes. Elkendi also offers selected international tours and can assist with itinerary planning and travel arrangements.
